Selection of drawings from college art classes.  These are a few, rare occasions where I have drawn from  life.  The majority of my artwork has always incorporated images from books as the source of objects I want to represent when painting realistically.  I know how to paint from real life, and have done it.  However, I enjoy painting in a studio, where I can analyze and think about the work in progress.  I am primarily a studio painter, yet painting from real life is also a necessity to maintain one’s skill level in painting, so I routinely paint or draw from real life, at least once a year.  These were really nice drawings from my college days.
